Fundraise to help end childhood cancer
Whether it’s the 50 km Tidbinbilla Challenge with 880 m of climbing, or the 5000 m climb of the gruelling 255 km Fitz’s Extreme, it still doesn’t come close to the challenge that children with cancer and their families face day in and day out.
Funding is urgently needed to spearhead scientific advances that will improve treatment and minimise the risk of relapse for children facing cancer, like Grace and Ned, two young children needing further treatment after their cancer has returned. Read more about their story.
“The Kids’ Cancer Project couldn’t be more proud of the decade of partnership we’ve had with Fitz’s Challenge and all the incredible cyclists who have gone the distance, raising funds for childhood cancer research.
Fitz’s is renowned for the amount of challenging climbs required within each distance. Those climbs are nothing compared to what a child and their family face when diagnosed with cancer. I’m sure some of the scientists we fund also feel like they have an uphill battle on their hands trying to determine what causes cancer in kids and how to treat it more effectively.
The good news is, together we can make a positive difference in the lives of kids with cancer by continuing to fund bold research that has the greatest chance of clinical success.”
