Choose your Fitz’s Challenge for a free 8 week cycling training program
The most daunting part of taking on a fitness challenge is being unsure of how to best prepare.
Registrations for Fitz’s Challenge are now open, and for the first time in the event’s history, any Pedal Power ACT member who registers for one of the five event distances will be sent a free 8 week cycling training program.
The training programs will be written by Michael Hanslip – a fully certified level 2 cycling coach (recognised by Cycling Australia) who has worked with cyclists of all abilities from recreational through to professional.
Pedal Power ACT members who have registered for a Fitz’s Challenge distance will receive their first training program to commence on Monday 24 August 2015.
The distances available for you to register for and ride within a supported environment are 50km, 105km, 165km, 210km and 255km.
The rides will all start and finish at Stromlo Forest Park and will venture across Canberra’s Brindabella Ranges.
In addition to being able to challenge yourself is the added option of raising much needed funds for The Kids’ Cancer Project.
The Kids’ Cancer Project is once again the official charity for Fitz’s Challenge in 2015.
Note: If you are not a Pedal Power ACT member and would like to join to access discounted rates for Fitz’s Challenge registration and a free 8-week training plan, you can add a discounted 12-month individual Pedal Power ACT membership ($40 – usually $75) during registration. Adding this discounted membership during registration will activate Pedal Power ACT member rates for your chosen challenge.
